CONTEXT & CHALLENGES

Making Online Shopping Easier for Buyers and Sellers

The client wanted to build an online shopping platform where customers could do more than just buy products at fixed prices. They wanted buyers and sellers to negotiate prices and complete purchases easily.

Reimagining transactional pricing as an active, bilateral marketplace conversation without friction.

The main challenges were:

01

Fixed Product Prices

Customers needed a way to ask for a better price instead of only paying the listed price.

02

Difficult Price Negotiations

Buyers and sellers needed a simple way to make offers, respond, and agree on a final price.

03

Complicated Payments

After agreeing on a price, customers needed an easy way to pay online.

04

Separate Shopping Steps

Product browsing, price negotiation, and payments needed to work together in one platform.

THE TRUVIXOO SOLUTION

A Better Way to Shop, Negotiate, and Pay Online

Truvixoo developed a custom e-commerce platform that brings shopping, price negotiation, and online payments together in one place. Customers can browse products, make offers to sellers, and pay securely through Stripe once a price is agreed upon.

Bridging discovery, real-time negotiation, and instant Stripe settlement into one frictionless journey.

Key solution features:

01

Easy Product Browsing

Customers can explore products, view details, and choose what they want to buy.

02

Simple Price Negotiation

Buyers can make offers, while sellers can accept, reject, or suggest a different price.

03

Smooth Online Payments

Once the price is agreed upon, customers can proceed to checkout and pay through Stripe.

04

One Connected Platform

Product browsing, negotiations, and payments work together to make the buying process easier for everyone.

WIREFRAMES & USER FLOW

Planning Every Step Before Development

Before creating the final interface, Truvixoo mapped out the platform's main screens and user journeys through low-fidelity wireframes. This helped define how customers browse products, negotiate prices, complete payments, and manage orders before moving into detailed UI design.

STRATEGIC DECISIONS

Resolving Friction & Human Hesitation

Challenge: Low-Ball Offer Fatigue

Sellers Flooded by Unrealistic Bids

Merchants feared that opening up bargaining would lead to insults and time-consuming manual rejections from bot scrapers.

UX Resolution:

Engineered dynamic price floors. Shoppers cannot enter an offer below the seller's private threshold without instantaneous helpful feedback indicating the minimum reasonable band.

Challenge: Post-Consensus Drop-off

Agreeing on Price but Failing to Settle

Buyers would reach terms with a merchant, then leave their screen and forget to finalize card payment details.

UX Resolution:

Required a frictionless pre-authorization hold via Stripe Elements before the initial offer is dispatched. When terms match, payment executes without requiring a second manual checkout page.

PAYMENT SOLUTION

Turning Accepted Offers into Easy Online Payments

The Challenge

After buyers and sellers agreed on a price, the platform needed a simple way to complete the purchase. The payment process had to use the agreed price and clearly connect payment status with the order.

Price Agreement to Settlement Friction
How Truvixoo Solved It

Truvixoo integrated Stripe into the e-commerce checkout flow, connecting accepted offers with order summaries and online payments. This gave buyers a clear path from agreeing on a price to completing their purchase.

Everything you need to know about WebSocket state management, Stripe escrow holds, and fraud guardrails.

When the buyer submits an offer, Stripe pre-authorizes the card with a temporary hold. If the seller or automated engine accepts the offer, the funds are captured instantly. If the offer is rejected or expires, the hold is released immediately with zero charge.
